Dallas-area home prices rise 8.6%

Dallas Area Home prices are up 8.6% year-over-year

Steve Brown of the Dallas Morning News reports Dallas Area prices are up 8.6% year-over-year.  Dallas had the 4th highest gain in the nation and only two cities, Dallas and Denver have surpassed 2006 levels to claim full recovery status. Dallas Area prices are up 28.1% over the past three years. This trend is expected to continue as long as rates stay down and the shortage of housing stock continues. While prices are up significantly the supply of news homes is moving down due to weather related construction delays. Common sense says wages will increase to compensate for increasing rental and purchase rates. Source: Dallas-area home prices rise 8.6%
