Dallas Morning News reports builders are about half way back to pre-collapse new home start volume
Single family new home starts are at around 24,000 in DFW. About 17,000 of those are priced from $200,000 to $500,000. As expected, the most active area is Northeast DFW at Frisco, McKinney, Little Elm and surrounding communities. Fort Worth is doing well too. New home starts are at about half of 2006 peak levels and increasing slowly. You can imagine May rain has been bad for business.
